1x12 - Prophecy girl
Buffy parts.
This scene was the first time (OF MANY) this show tore my soul into teeny tiny pieces - Buffy’s scared little voice when she asks if it’s going to hurt, and how she has to repeat, “I don’t care,” because she’s trying so hard to convince herself that it’s true. OH BUFFY OH BB :(((
From now on every girl in the world who might be a Slayer will be a Slayer. Every girl who could have the power, will have the power.
While Chosen is not the best Buffy episode, I feel like in a lot of ways it’s a perfect representation of the flawed, frustrating brilliance of the entire series. I have many many Thoughts and Feelings about how it all ended that I probably still can’t articulate all these years later, but in the end, this episode makes my top ten list for two main reasons: 1. Buffy, Willow, and the Slayers-in-training basically giving a giant fuck you to rules made up by a bunch of dead old men, and 2. the look on this little girl’s face when she realizes she’s gonna hit that ball right out of the fucking park.
Giles: Buffy, if the Master rises…
S1E12
It is a universal truth that every time Buffy cries I cry. This episode was the first time in the series that happened in full force, and this show began its longstanding tradition of reducing me to a weepy hysterical mess. Buffy’s face when she asks Giles if it’s going to hurt when she dies is like a dagger directly into my soul. She tries so hard to convince herself that she doesn’t care, but of course she does, because she is my sweet brave Buffy. And she saves the world. A lot.
dfklgjlfdg SOMEONE HOLD ME :((
